Marianne is a Norwegian/Chilean documentary filmmaker based in Copenhagen, Denmark. She holds a BA in Psychology and Audiovisual Communication (Roskilde University, Denmark) and a MA in Screen Documentary (Goldsmiths College, University of London). She directs and produces her own documentaries and combines her artistic activities with freelance work as workshop facilitator and with production of promotion videos and assistance on both fiction and documentary productions.

Throughout her career, Marianne has co-led workshops on content and visual identity for websites both on academic research level and in connection to the development of new websites and web magazines for the Danish Arts Council. She has worked on video workshops for journalists and on film workshops for actors to develop their acting skills on film. She has taught in basic school, guest lectured at the Danish Broadcast Television Channel DR and the Photographic Art School Fatamorgana in Copenhagen.

Marianne is interested in group-processes and in both personal and group identity. She has done investigation on this during her studies in psychology and she believes that there is an endless list of aspects to develop in this field for every organisation and human being.

Besides having lived in Santiago de Chile, Barcelona, London and Copenhagen (the city where she was born and grew up) and finding her inspiration to her work through that, Marianne gets her ideas for new projects on buses, planes, cycling and winter bathing in the sea in Copenhagen or cycling by the River Thames in London.
